From 2015 to 2023, the same team Sam the Paving Man team installation craftsmen successfully delivered all three stages of works at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Sydney Opera House, a site of exceptional historical, architectural and cultural significance.
The scope included more than 12,000m² of paving, alongside bollards, footings and minor civil works, with custom fan-shaped templates developed to ensure precision in the hand-laying of cobblestones.
Australian stone was used exclusively, supporting the reactivation of the Siena Quarry and continuing Melocco’s legacy. Works were completed within a live, high-profile precinct, requiring extended hours, compliance with strict Tier 1 builder requirements and minimal disruption to daily operations.
