Safety, quality and sustainability are fundamental to everything we do. All our work meets Australian standards, which means we build and promote a safety-first work culture, deliver quality-led projects, and adopt practices that minimise the impact on the environment and communities.

Quality Management

We have always been driven by quality on all our projects, from concept to delivery. This not only ensures our teams go above and beyond to meet, and often exceed, our clients’ expectations, but each team member strives to improve as an individual, which, in turn, helps us evolve and improve as a business.

Our quality system complies with the International Quality Standard ISO 9001, and using our customised “Plan, Do, Check, Act” cycle, we continuously improve our processes, in line with ISO 9001 standards. This approach is detailed in our Integrated Management System Manual and project planning materials. Certification to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 ensures our commitment to excellence is consistent and measurable.

Safety Management

We pride ourselves on continuously promoting a safety culture that ensures a safe, accident-free environment for everyone on all our projects – our employees, contractors, project stakeholders, and the general public.

Our Work Health and Safety (WHS) system is accredited by the NSW Department of Commerce and meets the Australian Standard AS4801. We are also certified to AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.

Environmental Management

Sam the Paving Man is dedicated to safeguarding both the natural and built environments. We know our work can impact the environment, and the people who live and interact near our project sites. We understand our work can cause disruption, so we aim to have a positive impact.

We work collaboratively with stakeholders and sustainability leaders to not only implement sustainable practices and methodologies into our projects, but to promote sustainable practices and innovation throughout our industry.

Our Environmental Management System aligns with AS/NZS ISO 14001 and is integrated into our planning and project execution, and we are certified to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2016.
