Sam’s Story
As a Lebanese immigrant who arrived in Australia in 1975 with empty pockets, but an abundance of passion and determination, Sam Harb has built an incredibly successful company from the ground-up. In 1985, along with his partner Annette, Sam started a small home-based paving installation business. They spent their nights letterbox dropping flyers and spruiking for work. Their days were spent organising and getting the jobs done. Clients soon began referring to him as “Sam the Paving Man”, and so the name stuck. From these humble beginnings, the company has grown to become what is today – the most recognised paving company in the country.
Over the last 30 years Sam the Paving Man has steadily grown, now employing 100+ staff and specialist subcontractors. The company has broadened its range of services to include the importation of natural stone, civil improvement works, and façade cladding.
Today the next generation of Sam’s family are now part of the team, and are committed to preserving his vision. When you enlist the services of Sam the Paving Man, you not only get superior products and installation, you also get the kind of expertise that only comes with years of hard work and experience. More importantly you get the guarantee of a family who cares, who have created a legacy of craftsmanship, and are committed to a culture of superior service.
