Join a dedicated quarrying team at one of South Australia’s recognised granite production sites.
Melocco Stone sources premium natural stone from the Black Hill (SA) Austral Black granite quarry, supporting major architectural and construction projects across Australia. We are now seeking a motivated and safety focused Quarry Hand to assist with day to day quarry operations at this key location.

About the Role
As a Quarry Hand at the Black Hill quarry, you will work as part of the extraction and production team responsible for supporting quarry operations and maintaining consistent, high quality stone output. This hands on outdoor role suits someone who enjoys physical work, machinery, and contributing to a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities
– Assist with daily quarrying activities including drilling, cutting, handling and movement of stone
– Support machine operators and supervisors during extraction and block preparation
– Operate small tools and site equipment (training provided)
– Perform basic site maintenance and housekeeping tasks
– Follow all site safety practices and contribute to a safe working environment

About You
– Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor manual labour
– Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn quarrying skills
– Strong commitment to safety
– Ability to work well within a team
– Experience in construction, quarrying, mining or machinery operation (preferred but not essential)
– Current driver’s licence (required)
